If you do not like the idea of using plugins much, you can do this by simply manipulating the coding of your blog a little bit. It is simple and easy if you have some basic knowledge of CSS coding. You can try the following 5 steps to do this would be working with the Themes Header, Footer, & style.css mainly.
Copy all the files present in the theme folder to the WordPress folder. If prompted to replace the files, do not replace but choose to skip this step.
Copy this code <?php get_header(); ?> and paste before this line ” <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN” “http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd”> “
Copy this code <?php get_footer(); ?> and paste at the end.
Copy all code from style.css and paste at the end of login.css (Path : /wp-admin/css/login.css)
Though using the plugins is a simpler and easier method to do this but plugins tend to slow the blog down and they must be avoided as far as possible. By using the method described above, you can very easily change the login page logo of your WP blog. If you know nothing about CSS it is advised that you stick to the use of plugins instead.
